Training School on NDT Techniques applied to civil engineering Barcelona, March 14-18, 2016

During March 14-18, 2016, two lecturers of department of Civil Engineering, Dr. Erion Luga and Enea Mustafaraj participated in the "Training School on Non-Destructive Testing Techniques Applied to Civil Engineering",  hosted by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya; the Escola Universitària d'Enginyeria Tècnica Industrial de Barcelona (EUETIB) in Barcelona, Spain. This school was conducted in the framework of COST Action TU1208 Civil Engineering Applications of Ground Penetrating Radar.

During this training, were presented various non-destructive testing techniques such as:

  • Several NDT techniques will be presented and explained:
  • Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
  • Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT)
  • Rapid near-surface resistivity (OhmMapper)
  • Electrical conductivity (Conductivimeter)
  • Passive seismics (H/V and ReMi)
  • Termography
  • Tadar interferometry
  • Ultrasounds
  • Gravity gradiometry (Gradiometer)
  • Gravimetry.
